Driveways, Tracks & Water Tables
Cutting, shaping and metalling driveways and farm tracks, plus clearing the ditches and culverts that keep them there.

About driveways, tracks & water tables
A rural driveway lives or dies on where the water goes. We cut, shape and metal new driveways and farm tracks, and we repair the ones that have started to scour, pothole or slump because the water table beside them stopped working.
Keeping ditches, water tables and culverts clear matters more than most people realise. Once they block up, heavy rain pushes water out across the driveway and onto the road, and what was a morning of maintenance turns into a repair job. Clearing them properly is one of the cheapest things you can do to a rural property.
Good for: Farms, lifestyle blocks, forestry road owners and anyone whose driveway turns into a creek every time it rains hard.
Worth booking in
Cheaper than the repair
Clearing a blocked water table costs a fraction of rebuilding the driveway it washed out.
Protects the road too
Blocked ditches push water onto the public road, which becomes someone else's problem and then yours.
Done with the right gear
Between the diggers and the boom mower we can clear, shape and metal in the same visit.

How we do it
We look at the whole run rather than just the bad patch, because the failure is usually uphill of where you noticed it. Crossfall, culvert position and outfall all get checked, then the surface gets shaped and metalled so the water leaves the track instead of running down it.

What to expect
Tell us about it
Call or message with a couple of photos and a rough idea of access. That is usually enough for us to tell you what machine it needs and roughly what it will cost.
We look at the site
For anything bigger we walk the site with you. Where the spoil goes, how water runs off afterwards and how we get the machine in all get sorted before we start.
Job done, site tidy
We work through it, keep you posted, and leave the ground in a state you can use. If we spot something that will cause you grief later, we will tell you.
Signs it's time to get us out
If any of these sound familiar, it's worth a quick call, we're always happy to advise before you book.
- Water runs down the driveway rather than off it
- Potholes and scouring keep coming back in the same spots
- Ditches beside the track have filled in with growth or silt
- A culvert is silted up or has stopped flowing
